AMBER WAVE IN ACTION
This video of Amber Wave demonstrates the three main protocols the network uses. The following steps are happening in real-time to fade an LED in relation to the reading of a photoresistor over 300 miles away.
-
A Mid Node senses the analog output of a photoresistor.
-
That same Mid Node transfers that data to another Mid Node through an Xbee connection.
-
The data is transferred to an MQTT broker.
-
The data is sent from the broker to an internet-connected Heavy node
-
The data is placed into a packet and sent over a long-range Lora link to a Lite Node.
-
The light node interprets the data from the packet and outputs an equivalent analog voltage to the LED.
(the photoresistor had some unwanted capacitance so although the LED looks like it's lagging it's actually diming in relation to the data. This problem was not experienced when the light was turned back on and the LED reacts accordingly.)
